The Richard V.
Cruz Memorial Foundation exists to promote
educational opportunities in the legal profession among underserved populations
in California and to address issues of equal access to law
schools.
VISION
The
Richard V. Cruz Memorial Foundation is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization that
supports the dream of Chicanas and Chicanos in becoming attorneys and advocating
for social and economic justice issues in California.
The Foundation holds dear the memory of Richard V. Cruz who, because of
his activism, selflessness, and singular compassion, dedicated his life to the
legal emancipation of the poor and disenfranchised residents of California.
The Foundation promotes education among the underserved populations by
establishing financial assistance for law students and addressing policies
restrictive of the Foundation mission.
Our efforts will be applied to providing incentives to those who dedicate
their professional lives to the values expressed by the words of Richard V.
Cruz, ?b>Justice belongs to the people.?/font>
